Our range of loose skeleton parts includes both models of the extremities (arms and legs), a practical set of bones corresponding to a child, a model of the general structure of the bone and an extremely simple model of the sternum and rib cartilage.

In the assortment, there are 2 models of the arm skeleton (upper extremity/arm skeleton), both of which include the scapula and clavicle. One model has a highly movable shoulder joint, while the other instead illustrates the epiphyseal lines on the humerus (upper arm bone) as well as on the ulna (elbow bone) and radius (spinal bone). There are also 2 models of the leg skeleton (lower extremity/leg skeleton), both of which include the hip bone. One model has a highly movable hip and ankle joint, while the other instead illustrates the epiphyseal lines on the femur (thigh bone) as well as on the tibia (shin bone) and fibula (shin bone).

The practical bone set has been developed for understanding the development of the human skeleton and is cast after a child's skeleton corresponding to a 5-year-old. The model of the general structure of the bone shows bone tissue from the thigh bone (femur), where you can, among other things, sees the compact and spongy bone tissue as well as details such as the periosteum and Haversian systems. The simple model of the sternum and costal cartilage primarily shows the costal cartilages with their different lengths and courses.

Clinically speaking, the loose skeletal parts in our range can be used to understand diseases, disorders and disorders in the skeleton. It can be, for example, bone breaks (fractures), joint slips (luxations) and bone fragility (osteoporosis) using the model of the general structure of the bone.
